That’s the motto behind the Days for Girls campaign! By providing access to quality, sustainable feminine hygiene and awareness, this organization gives back Days for Girls who would otherwise miss school or work just because of a biological process.
What if not having sanitary supplies meant DAYS without school, DAYS without income, DAYS without leaving the house? Many girls around the world do not have the income or access to feminine hygiene products and instead use leaves, mattress stuffing, newspaper, corn husks and rocks. Girls worldwide suffer indignities, infection, and even exploitation trying to stay in school.
That’s where Days for Girls comes in…
Mission: Creating a more dignified, free and educated world through access to lasting feminine hygiene solutions.
Vision: Every girl and woman in the world with ready feasible access to quality sustainable hygiene & health education by 2022.
Help a girl and you help every member of her family, her community and her nation
- Girls who have sanitary hygiene are more confident in school and more likely to graduate.
- For every year of education a girl receives, her future income increases.
- When a girl has 7 or more years of education, she marries 4 years later and passes on her knowledge and strength.
- She will speak up for herself & others and contribute to her community.
Here’s how YOU CAN HELP
- Raise Awareness
Let friends and family know about Days for Girls International or start up a volunteer Team! Share the stories of girls around the world and explain why this is important to you!
