Join Canadian Foodgrains Bank on a trip to Ethiopia in July, 2015 on an International Food Security Learning Tour for Educators!
This is a two week trip which includes orientation and debriefing sessions, visits tocommunity projects in Ethiopia supported by Canadian Foodgrains Bank and its network, and visits with other stakeholders such as the Government of Ethiopia.
What will you gain???
You will come away with a better understanding of issues in international development, global citizenship, food security and small-scale farming (perfect for teaching Global Issues!), learn more about Canadian Foodgrains Bank and its network and acquire resources that can be used to engage children, youth and young adults on the issue of hunger in the world will be presented (for Take Action Projects!).
The trip is open to all adult educators in Canada, able to travel to Ethiopia.
Dates: July 2-16, 2015 (approximate dates)
Tentative Cost: $3000*
*Funding may be available. This fee includes international travel and in-country costs (i.e. room and board, entry visa, transportation).
