EVENT: Film, Discussion and Yoga! *FREE EVENT*
Rafea is a Bedouin woman, a mother, a wife, illiterate… and a solar engineer? The Barefoot College in India trains women who might not have attended any other schooling to build solar panels. Women from rural communities from all parts of the Global South come together at the college to return to their village with the skills to bring power to their homes and the homes of their neighbours.
Join us on Sunday, October 25, 7:30pm at Moksha Yoga Kildonan to watch the film Solar Mamas and talk about how investing in women means investing in whole communities, economic development, children, health, safety, and more.
