The Manitoba Conservation Districts Association and Take Pride Winnipeg! have organized a unique opportunity exclusively for middle years & high school students and teachers. CNN’s Hero of the Year 2013 (Chad Pregracke) is coming to Winnipeg for the first time ever!
Chad blew everyone away last year at MCDA annual meeting in Brandon! He received a standing ovation and there were tears in the eyes of many. His story inspires everyone to make a difference today and to think big. Tandem with Chad’s presentation will be a look at awesome conservation projects going on all over Manitoba. Tom Ethans from Take Pride Winnipeg will discuss volunteer initiatives that students can participate in over the year. It is certain to be an educational and memorable afternoon for all who attend.
Some comments from students who saw Chad speak at the event in Brandon:
“He was very inspirational, a must-see!”
“Chad is a wonderful guy and is making a difference every day. He is someone I look up to.”
“He was very motivating and inspired me to think of ways that I can make a change to better the environment.”
