Connection is always important and in current times this importance is amplified. There is power in conversation.
This Earth Day on Wednesday, April 22, make the topic of conversation climate change using The World’s Largest Lesson – Earth Day activity.
Students will be instructed to phone an elderly relative and discuss weather, food and transportation then and now, calling attention to changes that happen over time and helping to explain how your lifestyle can have impacts on climate. Students will summarize the conversation by drawing comparative images and are encouraged to share their drawings and plans for global citizenship actions by tagging MCIC and the World’s Largest Lesson on social media at Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram.
