2019-20 Global Citizenship Awards are now open!

Each year, MCIC offers awards for educators and students, and submissions are now open for the 2019-20 school year!

Outstanding Take Action Project Award (Gr. 12 Students)

The Outstanding Take Action Project Award is for Manitoban students in Global Issues: Citizenship and Sustainability (40S) who have undertaken exceptional Take Action Projects. All students that complete Take Action Projects are encouraged to apply.

The award includes a cash prize, certificate and public recognition at MCIC’s Annual General Meeting and your school’s award celebration night.

The application process is now open to both first and second-semester students participating in the course – APPLY HERE!

Global Citizenship Award (Educators)

The Global Citizenship Award recognizes Manitoban teachers and administrators who have been leaders in promoting global citizenship. Awards are given out in three categories: Middle Years, High School, and Administrators (includes principals, vice principals, superintendents, trustees and other divisional or Manitoba education staff).

The award includes a certificate and public recognition at MCIC’s Annual General Meeting, as well as a donation to the charity of your choice.
